This is the NIH's own entry point for people writing an application, and it establishes the order of authority you must follow, namely the specific funding opportunity first, then the application guide, then general advice. From here it routes you to the current forms, the narrative writing advice, the budget guidance and the samples. Ten minutes here will stop you writing to the wrong instructions, which is the most common and most expensive early mistake.
