The AI Challenge: How College Faculty Assess the Present and Future of AI

AAC&U and Elon University's Imagining the Digital Future Center surveyed more than a thousand faculty nationally about what generative AI is doing to teaching, learning, academic integrity and their students' careers, and published the whole thing as a free PDF. The headline finding is how widely shared the worry about student overreliance and weakened critical thinking actually is, which matters because faculty resistance is routinely described on campus as a minority position held by a few holdouts. Take it to a committee when you need evidence rather than anecdote about where colleagues actually stand.
