Citing AI-Generated Images

This page gives you worked citation examples for an AI-generated image in MLA, APA and Chicago style, each showing where the prompt, the tool name, the date and the link belong. It also explains that in most styles the image is credited in its caption rather than in the works-cited list, which is the detail people most often get wrong when they drop a generated figure into a paper or a deck. Its most practical warning is that the share link a tool gives you decays once the session closes, so it tells you to keep your own copy and to archive the page if you need a link that will still resolve at review time.
