CAI Funds 13 New Faculty Projects on AI

Michigan's Academic Innovation Fund is now backing thirteen faculty-led projects across eleven schools, clustered around AI role-play for clinical and interview practice, personalised tutoring and writing support, and instructor-facing tools that help scale feedback and oral assessment. It shows what institutional AI experimentation looks like once a university puts real grant money and multiple departments behind it, rather than one enthusiastic early adopter.
