Accessibility Guidelines for Course Materials
Readers will be able to apply concrete accessibility practices, including alt text, heading styles, meaningful link text, simple table structures, reading-order checks and high-contrast colour, to course materials they produce in Word, PowerPoint, PDF, Excel and web editors, and then verify their files with the built-in accessibility checkers in Microsoft Office and Acrobat Pro. They will also be able to choose captioning and transcription options for audio and video from the tools the page covers, such as Teams, Zoom, Panopto and Ally for Canvas, and frame those choices using the POUR principles that underpin WCAG 2.1 AA.
